wave propagation numerical methods

Wave propagation and scattering problems are of huge importance in many applications in science and engineering - e.g., in seismic and medical imaging and more generally in acoustics and electromagnetics.

Ying Wu

Professor, Applied Mathematics and Computational Sciences

phononics metamaterials wave propagation Acoustics

Professor Wu works on theoretical modeling and numerical simulations of classical wave propagation in complex media, including metamaterials, metasurfaces, topological materials and random systems. She is recognized by effective medium theory, perturbation theory for periodic structures with resonances.
